Alan Massarsky is President and founder of the firm and has 30 years of hospitality search consulting experience. Previously he was General Manager of Roth Young Personnel Service of New York, a nationwide placement firm that also specialized in the hospitality industry.

He has written numerous articles for several industry magazines and is an active member of HSMAI, the Hotel Executives Club, the Food and Beverage Managers Association of America, and the New York State Restaurant Association. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Joan Steinberg is Vice-President and General Manager, and has been with Marshall-Alan Associates since 1984. She specializes in placing top and mid-level managers and chefs at many of the world’s finest restaurants. She also personally handles corporate level hotel positions, including finance and marketing.

Joan is a member of the Roundtable of Women in Food Service and has lectured at New York’s New School Culinary Arts program.

Kyrk Pappas, Vice-President and Director of the Hotel Division, joined Marshall-Alan in 1994. He had previously held operations management positions with Hyatt Hotels, The Mark and Stanhope Hotel. His personal experience in the hotel industry has not only helped him understand and fulfill our clients’ needs, but has also helped Marshall-Alan earn global recognition within the industry.

Kyrk is a graduate of Colby College and plays an active role in HSMAI.

Bridget Sciales knows the hotel and restaurant business, and precisely what it takes to run contract food service, catering and specialty gourmet organizations, as well. She personally set up and ran the award-winning catering department of Whole Foods Market's flagship store in New York. She's managed catering for McKinsey & Company, founded and managed a chain of gourmet food shops, ran a conference center that serves high profile celebrities and corporate officers. She studied in France and Italy, and holds a BFA from Parsons.

In the not-too-distant past, she's done work for Martha Stewart and Hillary Clinton. Now she serves many of Marshall-Alan's important clients.

Suzanne Corbo was the Director of Sales and Marketing for the opening of the Chambers Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in midtown Manhattan. Prior to that she was the Director of Sales for Ian Schrager's Delano Hotel in Miami Beach and had previous management experience at the Peninsula New York.

Suzanne earned her Bachelors from the University of Delaware, majoring in Hotel Management and has studied the subject at Cornell as well. She's a regular at industry trade shows, including NBTA, Virtuoso, World Travel Mart, and ILTM in Cannes.
